  Having moved to Welwyn a year ago, finding child care for my one year old daughter was one of the first tasks (after hearing horror stories about waiting lists!). The priority for us both was a caring and supportive environment, where I knew my daughter could flourish yet have fun! Upon our first visit to Acorn I knew that it ticked all the boxes, the manager couldnt have been more friendly and accommodating. My daughter has been at Acorn Playgroup for 6 months now and I cannot praise the staff enough on the settling process, having seen first hand how all of the staff go out of their way to get to know any new child in their care... And that is the word I think sums up Acorn "caring", towards all their Acorns and to us nervous mummies leaving our precious ones for the first time!
  
  As for the premises, despite us only being part of Acorn for such a short time, I got to see their original premises (in Oaklands Primary School), their temporary accommodation and now their brand new location at Whitehill. The new premises are fantastic, lots of space and a lovely big secure outdoor play area. Its surprising that theyve only been in situ for such a short time and you just know its only get better and better.
  
  Were looking forward to being part of the Acorn family over the next couple of years and would absolutely recommend Acorn Playgroup and Pre-School.
